Has a well-documented history of violence against anti-hunt campaigners. The huntsman was also convicted for head-butting a disabled magistrate during a fracas at a point to point meeting in Sussex and has an official police caution after admitting assaulting a hunt saboteur during a cub hunt. In 1994, he was caught on camera by a Channel 4 News crew fighting with hunt saboteurs and subsequently threatening the camera operator with war. Jamie Butcher following his conviction for dumping

Party Conference in October 2004. Butcher is an Isle
of Wight hunt employee. In May 1991, when known as "James
Butcher" he was convicted along with Stephen Clifton,
the IOW hunt's huntsman, of badger digging in the Isle

Forest Hunt & Countryside Alliance spokesman
Chairman of the Sharston Terrier and Lucher Club and Countryside Alliance spokesman was arrested outside a hotel in Southport for allegedly punching a female anti-hunt protester during a demo against the Waterloo Cup. He was taken to the local police station where he was charged with Section 4 of the public order act. Quote: "I'm going to be banned in three months. We are not going to stop. We are going to jail." South Shropshire Hunt
Arrested while attempting to plaster Real Countryside
Alliance pro-hunting stickers over the windows of Tony
Blair's constituency home in Trimden, Co Durham. Led
the storming of Parliament by pro-hunt campaigners.
Police recently removed his legally held weapons because
of concerns over the behaviour. Takes after his mother,
who also likes publicity and has a nack of getting caught
- not that we are suggesting he is a mummys' boy. Convicted of drink driving and in February 2007 spent the night in police cells after his latter outburst. |

Crawley and Horsham Foxhounds Countryside Alliance County Chairman for West Sussex He assaulted a hunt saboteur and signed a formal police caution admitting the offence and paid the hunt sab £400 in an out-of-court settlement. In the video clip below he is reminded of his assault on a woman and reacts with a torrent of abuse, including "Oh I'd love to beat you up, you arse-hole," before ordering the police to "get rid of them boys". After further abuse he is warned by a police officer under section 5 of the Public Order Act that if his behaviour continues he will be arrested. Hawksfield is the Managing Director of Equestrian Vision, Farren Court, Cowfold, West Sussex, which produces videos of show jumping events. His track record of aggression can be traced back to the mid-80s where on the Surrey Union hunt he was captured on camera attacking a protester with a cosh. After moving to the Crawely and Horsham hunt he was pictured amongst a mob armed with iron bars and dressed in balaclavas. |
